Zbigniew Brzezinski, perhaps the most important force behind the American presence after 1979 in Afghanistan, wrote: to prevent the barbarians from assembling.

Today, a large number of nations could be called tributaries or vassals of the American Empire (which could be called more accurately the Anglo-Zionist Empire, the Western Bankster Empire, or the NATO Empire). In fact, polls have shown that about two-thirds of residents of the largest contiguous Muslim countries support the abolition of national borders and the establishment of a unified pan-Islamic umma. And they want to do it calmly. This prospect terrifies the empire which, if the Muslim “barbarians” unite, would lose control over the world’s most strategic lands and resources. Worse yet, from an empire’s perspective, a pan-Islamic ummah would use its energy resources to annihilate the Western bankers’ monopoly on money, overthrowing the current riba (usury) banking system in favor of a non-usurious Islamic alternative. .
