I have been honored to serve the residents of Fowler for 12 years!
My wife, Michaelene, and I made Fowler our home in 1993 and enjoyed this small town connectivity as well as the quaint country life it offers. We raised our daughter Monica here and really appreciate our friends and neighbors.
Shortly after I became a trustee, Fowler Township paid for the last banknote which was the Butt House in the center. It houses the finance officer, the zoning inspector and the historical society. This achievement made the Township of Fowler DEBT FREE! With the help of a few grants, some personal craftiness, and a lot of frugality, Fowler has remained debt free! This is something to be very proud of because many townships need to borrow money or raise taxes in order to survive.
Alongside a large group of dedicated people of fellow administrators, employees, department heads, community activist and
Members of a club or association. We have been able to achieve many target goals along the way.
To name a few, we have;
Over time, we have replaced our entire fleet of road service vehicles. This includes a backhoe, a 29,000 GVW dump truck, a 10,000 GVW dumpster, a pickup truck, a roadside mower and two zero turn mowers.
We have replaced the Police Cruisers (one every four years) and have them fully equipped with the latest computer systems, body cameras, Tasers, Lights and other accessories. Also keep up to date with police software and computers for offices, radios and equipment.
In the fire department, we have; Strengthening Verses From An Ambulance Save Over $ 90,000
Converted to a new state-of-the-art communication system. Camera system for security.
We also replaced all participation equipment and outfitted our EMS with uniforms and protective gear.
We replaced the broken floor in the truck bay and replaced the boiler system, installed an air filtration system, all with local suppliers.
We structured our expensive repaving on a five-year rotation plan. And our ten miles of cantonal roads are in pretty good shape.
These new purchases come with the cost of maintaining the tools and equipment we already have. We take great care of the items entrusted to us.
While I feel blessed to serve a great community like Fowler, I have to say that it takes a lot of tough decisions, including dealing with the many unfunded mandates given to us by federal, state, county, and medical entities.
Watch over the services that are provided by you, the taxpayers and residents of Fowler. I am always keen to make the most of what we have. I am honored to do this work, and with your support, I will continue to be vigilant in keeping Fowler the Great Place we love to call home. I would appreciate your vote, and more importantly, please come out and vote!

To only cite a few :

complete fleet of road and cemetery vehicles. This includes a backhoe, a 29,000 GVW dump truck, a 10,000 GVW bucket, a pickup truck, a road mower and two zero turn mowers.
We’ve structured our expensive repaving on a five-year rotation plan and our ten miles of township roads are in fairly good shape.
We replaced the police cars, one every four years, and fully equipped them with the latest computer systems, body cameras, tasers, lights and other accessories. Police software and computers for offices, radios and equipment were also kept up to date.
In the fire department, we have:
Re-engineered an ambulance instead of replacing it at a savings of over $ 90,000.
We converted to a new state-of-the-art communications system and purchased a security camera system. We replaced our response equipment and equipped our EMS with uniforms and protective equipment. We replaced the broken floor in the truck bay and replaced the boiler system, as well as an air filtration system, and we did that with all the local suppliers.
These new purchases come with the cost of maintaining the tools, buildings and equipment we already have. We take great care of the items entrusted to us.
While I feel blessed to serve a great community like Fowler, I have to say that it takes a lot of tough decisions, including dealing with the many unfunded mandates given to us by federal, state, county, and medical entities.
Tough decisions include things like postponing certain purchases until the money is available or combining services with neighboring towns. We will also continue to look for alternative ways to balance our budget through grants and the like.
While monitoring the services you provide, the taxpayers and residents of Fowler, I am always keen to make the most of what we have.
I am honored to do this work and with your support I will continue to be vigilant to ensure that Fowler remains the perfect place we love to call home!
I would appreciate your vote, but more importantly, get out there and vote!
