Ontario Catholic Trustee Association leader elected National President
TORONTO, June 7, 2021 / CNW / – OCSTA is pleased to announce that our President, Patrick daly was elected president of the Canadian Association of Catholic School Trustees at the group’s annual general meeting on June 4. The Canadian Association of Catholic School Trustees (CCSTA) is a national organization that promotes excellence in Catholic education through Canada.
“What an immense honor for me to represent the commissioners of Catholic schools through Canada. I look forward to serving with them to protect, strengthen and promote the precious gift of Catholic education, ”said Mr. Daly.
CATS represents seven provincial and territorial associations of Catholic school trustees nationwide. Collectively, these associations represent more than 90 Catholic school boards, which educate more than 850,000 students in nearly 2,000 schools in Vancouver, British Columbia at St. John’s, Newfoundland and Yellowknife, Northwest Territories at Windsor, Ontario.
Mr. Daly assumes this national role while continuing to serve as President of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association – the official voice of publicly funded Catholic education in Ontario represent the interests of 29 English-speaking Catholic school boards that collectively educate nearly 600,000 students through from Canada most populous province.
