Real Madrid set to offer Tottenham the chance to sign Gareth Bale for good

Real Madrid are said to be willing to offer Tottenham Hotspur a chance to sign a permanent contract with Gareth Bale as they look to raise transfer funds.
According to reports from the Express, Real Madrid could look to capitalize on Gareth Bale’s return to top form in recent weeks, offering Tottenham a deal to buy the Welshman permanently in the summer transfer window.
Bale initially struggled to start his return to the Premier League for four months, with Jose Mourinho questioning the Welshman’s fitness after a series of trivial injury issues. However, his form has improved in the last few games and he now has 8 goals and 3 assists in 20 games in all competitions.
Bale has one more year of contract with the Spanish club and Los Blancos will want to get rid of his £ 600,000-a-week salary in order to fund a deal for PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid have announced costs of around £ 135million for the World Cup winner by PSG and the La Liga giants will look to fund this signing by selling some of their players.
Mbappe has been in sublime form for PSG this season and has scored 18 league goals in just 23 games, as PSG look to win their fourth straight Ligue 1 title. Mbappe is reportedly open to a departure from Paris this summer, with a multitude of big clubs lined up for the signing of the Frenchman.
However, Real Madrid have been hit by a financial recession due to the pandemic. And it remains to be seen if the Spanish club will find a way to fund a deal for the talismanic PSG striker this summer, given his current situation.
So offloading players who are not part of manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans becomes imperative, with Bale one of those stars who has been out of favor under the Frenchman for most of the past two seasons before joining Spurs on loan.
And now that he achieved good form at Tottenham, the reigning Spanish champions are hopeful they could prompt the north London side to withdraw him for good once his loan deal expires at the end of the current campaign.
