TERRELL, Texas (Trinity Valley Community College) – During last night’s TVCC Board of Directors meeting, the Trustees appointed Terry Eason, Ed.D. to fill the District 9 seat, vacated by the death of Homer Norville in December 2020. Eason was sworn in by Justice of the Peace Randy Daniel of Henderson County.

“I am delighted to serve as a member of the Trinity Valley Community College Board of Trustees to help the College continue to execute its strategic plan, accelerate its growth and deliver value to the students we serve,” said said Terry Eason, Ed.D. “I look forward to working with the entire board to build on TVCC’s momentum and strong business fundamentals. “

A career educator, Eason has over 30 years of teaching, coaching and administration experience and also brings his higher education faculty experience to the board.

“We look forward to working with Dr. Eason to strengthen our mission to transform lives through affordable and accessible education,” said Jerry King, Ed.D. “Dr. Eason has dedicated his career to helping students succeed, so we are delighted to welcome him among the other eight members of the Board of Trustees with the success of our students in mind.

Eason fills the vacant District 9 position for the remainder of the term that ends in May 2022. At that time, voters will elect a candidate for the next six-year term.
