Part 1 of this Mailbagg took place on Friday. Let’s dive into part 2. Thanks again for all the good questions!

Who is the next team most likely to move? And or ? (except As’s in Vegas) – Mike (@Mike__OC)

I’m hoping the As’s will stay in Oakland, and I might be just stupidly optimistic, but I think they will. If your money isn’t tied to the costs of building the Howard Terminal gondola, the smart bet for the next team to move has to be on the Tampa Bay Rays. Their owner already wants to play part of their schedule at home in Montreal. I’m okay with that, especially if the Giants get the Rays for an interleague series in Quebec. It has been too long since I last jogged in Mount Royal Park and ate a smoked meat sandwich (definitely in that order).

The main owner of the Giants is ultra-conservative billionaire Charles Johnson. What do we know about how property makes decisions (especially about work)? Are there any indications that there is unease with Gabe Kapler’s social justice statements or the philosophy of diversity in employment? – Ted Coe (@FreakPowerTix)

It’s the opposite. Many Giants employees and executives are privately enraged whenever another cache of Charles Johnson’s contributions comes into the FEC’s public files. Even his son and current club president Greg admitted that his father had been asked to do a more in-depth job looking at the campaigns and candidates he was supporting financially.
